Angelina Jolie was born into a family of actors, hence, her eventual entry to the world of acting. In 1993, when she was around 18, she made her film debut in the low-budget feature Cyborg 2. Decades later, Angelina is now one of the highest-paid stars in Hollywood and has even ventured into directing and producing with her works in the films Unbroken and First They Killed My Father. She has also proven herself to be a top-caliber actress with acclaimed performances in such films as Girl, Interrupted and Changeling.
Of course, it's not surprising that she's considered as one of the most beautiful and influential celebrities in the world. Her work goes beyond acting as she's also well-known around the world for her humanitarian efforts. On the other hand, even her sex appeal, compassion, and great accomplishments can't stop nature from wreaking havoc in her body. This ultimately led her to undergo breast implants. But let's start from the beginning - why did she need to go under the knife for a breast surgery in the first place? This is why:
In February 2013, Angelina had gone through a preventive double mastectomy, which involves the removal of a woman's breasts. The actress decided to go through with the operation after her medical tests showed that she had 87 percent risk of developing breast cancer. By doing this, the risk for breast cancer substantially drops. Since her mother was diagnosed with the same disease, Angelina knew she had to be proactive when it came to her health and well-being.
As a result of the surgery, Angelina needed to undergo a breast reconstruction. You can call it a boob job if you want since this basically involves breast implants. Naturally, Angelina needed new "breasts" after she had hers removed for medical reasons. One detail that was reported with regards to Angelina's boob job was that she chose teardrop-shaped implants. The said reconstruction with breast implants took place in April, two months after her mastectomy.
According to reports, Angelina Jolie's boob job as part of her breast reconstruction was divided into three stages. The first stage involved saving her nipples, which was performed with no arising issues. Next, her breast tissues were removed and were replaced with tissue expanders. The final stage, which happened nine weeks later, involved the teardrop-shaped implants being positioned in place. The entire breast reconstruction surgery succeeded, giving Angelina a new set of healthy breasts that also look natural, thanks to the excellent boob job that was performed on her.
Fast forward to 2018, Angelina Jolie is still very much healthy, thanks to the preventive surgery that she had undergone back in 2013. Looking at the before and after photos since her surgery, there's not much of a difference. This should be a good news since this means that her breast reconstruction implants produced amazing results that look very much natural. Meanwhile, some observers think that the actress may have opted for smaller implants since her bra size recently is kinda smaller than when she was in her 20s and early 30s. Or, it's also likely that she could have chosen bigger ones, who knows?
