Courteney Cox opened up about regretting her plastic surgery choices. Before and after photos reveal how the Friends star turned to Botox and a possible facelift in an effort to combat aging. The way she explained it was that it was hard getting older, and her way of trying to defeat it was by getting plastic surgery. Unfortunately, it ended up giving her a super fake look without any subtlety. I feel for her when she talks about the hardships of dealing with such a thing. Here's what she had to say on the matter,
"I feel lucky. I don't feel burdened by it. I mean, people can be pretty mean, though, now that there's all this social media. The comments … if I ever want to feel really bad about myself, I just click on one of those … comment sections."
During 2012 Courteney Cox was the centerpiece of bad plastic surgery discussions. She obviously went way overboard on getting Botox injections. Her cheeks look bloated and unnatural. While it's not clear if she had a facelift, it's not out of realm of possibilities. She likely had fillers in addition to the Botox. It was most likely in her cheeks, around her jaw line to reduce any jowls, around her eyes to diminish the appearance of crows feet, and on her forehead to smooth out any lines.
It's weird that she took the plastic surgery so far! It's understandable that Courteney Cox was just trying to look younger, but it's unbelievable that a plastic surgeon would do something like that. After all of the medical training and procedures they've performed, would they not know how to prevent something like this from happening. I don't accept the cop out argument that the patient pushed for excessive use of Botox either, because it's the surgeons responsibility to turn someone away or talk them out of doing something like that. Bottom line, it's reckless and irresponsible of the surgeons part. The patient is always going to be overly emotional and think that only the extreme approach will yield the results they desire.
When asked about why she turned to plastic surgery, here's what she had to say,
“I think I was trying to keep up with getting older, trying to chase that … it's something you can't keep up with.”
